| On February 15, 2001 we suddenly and tragically lost our dear friend Linda J. Turner. Those of us who knew and loved her are still reeling with the loss of this wonderfully special lady. Meanwhile, our thoughts and prayers go out to Robert J. Turner, the love of her life, and her two sons B.J. and Mann Dixon.

| Personal Background: Linda J. Turner is the founder and president of Networks, Inc., a communications company with associates in Kingsport, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; Arlington, Virginia; and San Antonio, Texas. Corporate headquarters is in Kingsport, Tennessee. Also a co-founder of LadyWeb.Com with associates Teresa Bohannon and Kim Booher. Turner founded Networks, Inc. in 1989 after a stint on SC Governor Carroll Campbell's staff. Her background includes teaching, chamber of commerce staff work, advertising, public relations and fundraising. Her undergraduate and graduate work is in social studies from the University of South Carolina. Married to Robert J. Turner, she is the mother of two sons, B.J. and Mann Dixon. Linda relocated to Kingsport, TN from Columbia, SC in 1991. | ||||||

| Awards & Achievements: Won eight advertising awards, including Best of Show, for the first statewide campaign she directed which targeted alcohol and drug abuse by women Won ninth gold Addy advertising award for directing the development of a nine projector sound/slide presentation for the Columbia, SC Convention and Visitors Bureau, which went on to be recognized by the American Association of Society Executives as the best audio visual presentation produced in the nation in 1988. In first political race as campaign manager for female candidate for state superintendent of education in 1990 defeated 12 year male incumbent. Named one of the Ten Outstanding Women of Achievement by the SC March of Dimes, Central Palmetto Division As member of Governor Richard Riley's task force on critical human need, Turner conceived of idea to request electric utility customers to round up the dollar amount paid for each month's utility bill, donating the odd change to a fund called Project Share which pays for heat and electricity for the poor, a program which eventually spread nationwide. | ||||||
